VICTIM OF STREET SWEEPER FILES SUIT AGAINST SYRACUSE.(CAPITAL REGION)

SYRACUSE -- A woman who was run over and dragged nearly 300 feet by a street sweeper in August has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the city and the driver.

Barbara Kren, 51, suffered a broken hip, pelvis and arm and a punctured lung in the accident, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in state Supreme Court.

The lawsuit alleges the street sweeper operator was driving negligently and recklessly when Kren was hit, and the city was negligent for not properly training, evaluating, monitoring and supervising its employees.
